Kepler Capital Markets names new senior management

Kepler Capital Markets (Kepler) is pleased to announce the appointment of Pascal Marionneau as Global Head of the Credit ASG business line. Credit ASG will focus on Illiquid Assets held on the balance sheets of diverse financial institutions. Alongside Origination and Distribution, the activity will also encompass Restructuring and Advisory. Pascal previously held the position of Trading and Risk Advisor for the Global Capital Markets Department across business lines at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking.

Closing of Kepler Capital Markets Capital Raise

Kepler Capital Markets (KCM) is pleased to announce that the transaction to raise new capital and bring onboard new minority shareholders is closed as of Friday, 14th October. The final shareholdings in KCM are as follows: Staff & Management 53%, BlackFin Capital Partners 21%, La Caisse des Dépôts 14%, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa 7%, Banca Leonardo 5%. The shareholder equity of the group is € 84m which gives KCM a Basel II ratio of over 40%. The group has no debt. The equity brokerage business of Banca Leonardo will be integrated into KCM’s Italian operation from Monday, 17th October.

Penta takes over the Slovak Dexia

Penta Investments, a Central European investment group, has become the owner of a 88.71 percent stake in the Dexia banka Slovensko. As of 1 April 2011 Jan Rollo takes up the position as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dexia banka Slovensko. He was appointed by the Supervisory Board of the Bank and approved by the National Bank of Slovakia. The Antimonopoly Office SR and the National Bank of Slovakia consented to the transaction.

Meritum Bank Recieves New Funding

Citing the great potential of Poland's Meritum Bank, Wolfensohn Capital Partners is joining with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Innova Capital to pump yearly €34 million of new financing into the bank. The new funding will be used to expand Meritum's current services, develop new ones, and complete an ongoing restructuring process.

Potanin Sells Part of Rosbank Stake to VTB Capital

Russian investment giant VTB Capital has purchased a minority share of OAO Rosbank from Interros Holding Co., which is owned by billionaire Vladimir Potanin. VTB Capital has made the investment as a means of taking advantage of the expected growth of the Russian banking sector. The purchased share is equal to approximately 19.3% but will be reduced to 11-12% after Rosbank completes a previously planned share issue.
