The EBRD has agreed to provide an unsecured loan to one of Russia's leading broadband internet providers, helping fund the company's expansion plans which include bringing new service to more than 130 cities. The four-year loan, valued at RU 450 million, will go to Enforta's Russian subsidiary, LLC Prestige Internet.

Mid Europa Partners has announced plans to sell one of its Polish holdings to an American investment firm. On the block is cable television operator Aster Sp. z o.o., which will be acquired by Liberty Global Inc. for a total of PLN 2.4 billion. Liberty will provide PLN 870 million in private equity and assume mid Europa's PLN 1.5 3 billion Aster-related debt. Liberty Global already owns Aster's biggest competitor, UPC Polska Sp. z o.o., so the deal must be approved by Polish regulators.
