Thomas-Krenn.AG presents a new generation of servers

Together with Exergy GmbH and ProximusDA GmbH the Freyung-based server manufacturer develops a milestone in computing power and energy efficiency. In cooperation with Exergy GmbH and ProximusDA GmbH, Thomas-Krenn.AG presents a new generation of high-performance server technology at CeBIT 2012.

The unique Exergy technology excels in the increase of computing power and energy efficiency through the integral combination of hardware and parallel software.

The new servers solve the ubiquitous problems of heat generation and dissipation on the hardware side and efficient parallelism on the software side at the same time.

Thomas-Krenn.AG and Exergy GmbH form a strong partnership to realize and produce the high-performance servers with multi-core processors and optional water-cooling systems – groundbreaking technology with proven hardware built quality.

The major difference to common computers lays in the efficient usage of the modern multi-CPU and its many core processors. Exergy servers have 4 CPUs with 64 cores and (currently) up to 6 “GPGPU”, Graphics Processors usable for standard computing and outclass classic servers through new parallel computing software by ProximusDA GmbH which enables efficient utilization of the resulting TeraFlops.

“With this collaboration Thomas-Krenn.AG makes a powerful move into super computing, underlining its technological edge. Ventizz is highly committed to further drive this fantastic story”, said Willi Mannheims, General Partner at Ventizz Capital Partners.
